Be sure to capture the JetsTV Are living Pre-Game Demonstrate with Jamie Thomas, Mitchell Clinton & more beginning at 6:00pm CT right here on and the Jets mobile app, as well as YouTube and Facebook Stay.WINNIPEG – Mark Scheifele and Adam Lowry return to the line-up tonight as the Winnipeg Jets (42-19-10) take on the Dallas Stars (38-26-8) in the second recreation of a six-game residence stand.Scheifele has mi sed the last five games with an upper-body injury, while Lowry has been out for the past 19 games with an upper-body ailment of his own.The two bring even more depth to the centre position, which had been tested heavily due to injuries throughout the line-up.”You add in (Matt Hendricks) and (Andrew Copp), there are a lot of capable centre men. Especially with the addition of (Paul) Stastny, we really have a real dangerous line up one through four. That really bodes well for us moving forward,” said Lowry. “It allows any of our lines to play against any team’s lines, and be succe sful. You’re going to need that depth and the scoring through four lines in the playoffs, and I think we have that.” Video: PREGAME | Adam Lowry For Lowry, tonight’s video game will be just his third since his initial injury on Jan. 5 against Buffalo. The 24-year-old came back on Jan. 30 after mi sing eight games, before re-aggravating the injury Feb. 1 against the Vegas Golden Knights.”Sometimes it’s about being smart, and maybe not taking the biggest runs at guys early on. Just making sure it feels comfortable,” said Lowry. “At the same time I’m not going to change my game. I think a lot of my succe s comes from playing a certain way. If I shy away from that physicality in my match, it will be detrimental to the rest of my video game.”Head coach Paul Maurice will slot Scheifele back in his familiar centre spot between Blake Wheeler and Kyle Connor, while Lowry will centre Brandon Tanev and Joel Armia.Video: PREGAME | Mark Scheifele The trio of Stastny, Nikolaj Ehlers, and Patrik Laine will stay together after the group began the outburst of five unanswered goals against Chicago on Thursday. But there will be an adjustment on the remaining line, with Andrew Copp staying in the middle, sliding Bryan Little to the wing with Mathieu Perreault on the other side.”I really like what (Copp has) done in the middle there. You’ll notice last activity that Bryan played on the wing,” said Maurice. “(We’ll) leave (Little) on the wing for a bunch of different reasons, some of it is end of match scenario – getting him some time on the wing. He’s played it, he’s been really succe sful on the wing there.”That leaves Jack Roslovic – who scored his fourth of the season in the win over Chicago – on the outside looking in. But Maurice doesn’t think it will be for long. The reason for the decision tonight comes down to Tanev’s role on the penalty kill, and how the bench runs after the team gets back to even strength.”Every one of the forwards tonight is on a special team. I’d like to take some pre sure off Blake Wheeler, Bryan Little, Paul Stastny, those guys that have been killing penalties for us so much,” said Maurice.”A kill for us was almost four and a half minutes long, because we ran those centre men so hard, that Ehlers, Laine, Perreault, and Connor are sitting on the bench fresh, and I don’t have a centre to go back in there. They’re still catching their breath.”Video: PREGAME | Blake WheelerEight of Wheeler’s league-leading 60 a sists this season have come against the Stars. But the Jets captain wasn’t talking offence this morning when addre sing the challenges Dallas presents.”I think defensively, in their defensive zone, they do a really good job. They collapse pretty hard, they don’t give you a lot of time and space,” said Wheeler.”It’s never easy playing these guys. They have a lot of high-end talent. Guys that can hurt you at any given moment. So you have to be aware of where those guys are all video game. It’s just kind of a grinder. You have to stay with it all night.”Tonight’s activity marks the fifth stop on a six-game road trip for the Stars. After dropping the first two in regulation to Pittsburgh and Montreal, Dallas has picked up one point in each of their last two outings – falling in a shootout to Toronto on Wednesday, before an overtime lo s to Ottawa Friday.Video: PREGAME | Paul MauriceAt 84 points, the Stars hold the final wildcard spot in the Western Conference by the slimmest of margins. They’re tied in points with the Anaheim Ducks, but have two more regulation and overtime wins than the Ducks. While that makes the Stars a desperate team, Scheifele believes that desperation is in the Jets dre sing room as well.”Every recreation is important down the stretch for every team,” said Scheifele. “We know they’re going to be raring to go, and we have to be ready for that.”Connor Hellebuyck will start in goal for the Jets, with puck drop set for 6:30 pm CT.ICE CHIPSToby Enstrom will be a game-time decision against the Stars as he continues to recover from a lower-body injury.Enstrom has played in one activity since Feb. 26.”We have a game-time on some of the guys on our blue line,” said Maurice. “He got through that full practice yesterday. We’ll make positive that everybody comes to the rink feeling the way we think they will, then we’ll make those decisions.”- Mitchell Clinton, WinnipegJets.comJETS Video game NOTESTonight’s GameThe Winnipeg Jets play the second match of a six-game household stand tonight against their Central Division rival Dallas StarsThe Jets beat the Chicago Blackhawks 6-2 in the first activity of the homestand Thursday night to end a three-game losing streakThe homestand continues Tuesday night against the Los Angeles KingsJets vs. Stars Notes- The Jets can sweep the four-game season series against the Stars with a win tonight, which would be the first time Winnipeg has swept Dallas in a season series.- The Jets went 4-1-0 against the Stars last season and have won eight of the last nine meetings.- The Jets are 14-8-1 against the Stars since the franchise moved to Winnipeg in 2011, including 7-5-0 in Winnipeg.- The Jets have scored at least four goals in each of their last seven games against Dallas, outscoring the Stars 35-13.Magical Time of YearThe Jets magic number to clinch a playoff spot sits at 11…Based on points percentage, the projected points needed to make the playoffs in the Western Conference is 96 points, leaving the Jets two points shy of reaching that point total with 11 games remaining.Wins RecordsThe Jets can tie a franchise record for most wins (43) in a season with a victory tonightWinnipeg enters tonight’s sport with 42 winsThis is the fifth time in franchise history the team has won 40 games in a season, including the third time in the last four seasonsThe Jets set a franchise record for most home wins in a season on Thursday with their 25th win at Bell MTS Place this season.Marching ForwardThe Jets are 5-2-1 to start the month of MarchThe Jets also had a strong March last season, going 8-5-1 in 14 gamesSince relocating to Winnipeg in 2011, the Jets are 44-42-11 in the month of MarchNewcomer Paul Stastny leads the Jets with 119 points (37G, 82A) in 142 career games in March, while Mark Scheifele has 43 points (19G, 24A) in 49 games in March during his career.Against the CentralThe Jets are 12-8-2 against their Central Division foes this season and 30-16-4 dating back to the start of 2016-17Tonight is the third of three consecutive games against the CentralBlake Wheeler leads the NHL in points against Central Division teams with 30 points (8G, 21A) in 22 games.Secondary ScoringSince acquiring Paul Stastny on Feb. 26, the line of Stastny, Patrik Laine and Nikolaj Ehlers scored 15 of the next 22 goals the Jets scored The Jets bucked that trend in Thursday night’s 6-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks as all four lines chipped in at least one goal Stastny scored the Jets first goal le s than four minutes in, before Joel Armia, Jack Roslovic, Bryan Little, and Kyle Connor all lit the lamp before the first period was done. Two By TwoJacob Trouba returned on Thursday after mi sing 20 games due to a lower body injury and tallied two a sists in 14:47 of ice timeIt was his fourth two-point activity of the seasonBryan Little ended a six-game pointle s drought with a goal and an a sist against the BlackhawksThe six games without a point matched a season-highKyle Connor scored twice for his fourth two-goal sport of the season, which is tied for second among NHL rookies this season.
